Disney Springs Art Walk

Every time we go to Disney Springs I feel like there’s something new to discover.  Sometimes this means a new live music or entertainment set up.  Sometimes it’s a new food truck.  But sometimes it’s a completely new experience that we didn’t even know we needed to see!

Because we are creatures of habit, we tend to park in the same place (Orange Garage, third level) and walk the same route through Disney Springs.  But on a recent trip a bright sign on the wall near the patio of Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill caught my eye.  So we took a detour around the side of the building that we NEVER see!

Around the back of the building is a vibrant, absolutely stunning Art Walk!  If you arrive at Disney Springs via Disney Transportation you’ll be greeted by the murals when you step off the buses.  We would have easily missed the entryway if we had been looking at our phones or were too focused on making it to our favorite dinner spot!  The girls and I took a leisurely stroll and admired the local and international artists that are showcased here!  My youngest daughter, Sophia, is incredibly artistic and she LOVED taking in the different styles!

Like Walt Disney World in general, Disney Springs is constantly evolving.  This means they are always adding new attractions, entertainment, and activities.  They also have an uncanny way of making families press pause, even for a few moments.  It took us about 20 minutes to stroll through the entirety of the Art Walk, but if gave us a chance to take in the beauty and vibrance of the joyful expressions these artists were able to capture.  (It made me think about the chalk artists during Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts!). Right now, fifteen different artists are showcased.  There are a few blank spaces, just begging for new participants to be added.  You can check out the current artists here.

The next time you’re at Disney Springs, take a minute to look up from your phone, avoid the urge to take your own Insta worthy photo, and just enjoy the artwork on display.  It was a breath of fresh air!
