Throwback Thursday: Squirrel hunting in Edinburgh
At the beginning of September I went to Edinburgh to catch the last of the Festival and to also explore a bit more of Scotland. But of course, I had to do some of the essentials in Edinburgh as well. One of these was to visit Holyrood Palace again and to walk through Holyrood Park.
So the above picture was taken on a crazy sunny day just behind Holyrood Palace. While taking some pictures of the Abbey inside the grounds of the Palace, I happened to see a big group of squirrels. I absolutely love squirrels, even the evil grey variety that are driving out our red squirrels. And I was so happy that I had brought my big camera lens so I could get a real close up shot of Mister Squirrel here. He (or she) actually got pretty close to me (imagine me cowering in the grass trying to take a picture of a bunch of squirrels) but having the big 55-200mm lens still helped.
