My month in pictures: December

My month in pictures: December

A little bit of winter and a stunning sunset. There wasn’t a lot that happened in December to be quite honest. It was cold and grey most days. Not exactly perfect conditions for stunning photos. But I actually bought a new camera this month (most of the pictures below were taken on my new Canon 6D), so I did still try to get out as much as possible to play with my new camera.

The picture of the records that you see below, was actually at a photography tour I did in Buenos Aires. But since it was a Christmas record, I thought it fit quite well in December.

Just before Christmas, I finally managed to get myself to a Christmas market and it was even a very pretty one right by the Spree. I also started to plan a little online course for this blog with the help of “Ein gutes Ziel“. If you speak German and you have a goal you would like to accomplish, I highly recommend this book. You will learn a lot more about this email course I’m planning in about a week or two, so stay tuned.

The month, and the year, ended in a very contemplative mood for me. I always get very introspective towards the end of the year and think about what this year has brought me. Whether I have changed or accomplished anything and whether I feel more content with myself at the end of this year than at the end of the last. Of course I also think about how I can be even better and even more content with myself in the year that is about to start. If you want to know what the result of all this thinking was, you can read about it here.

The pictures reflect all this thinking as they were all taken on walks I took at the end of the year.

In January, I will actually try to post a photo on Instagram every day, with the grand goal of posting a photo every day of 2017. But I’ll start with January first to see how I go. If you want to follow along, please click on the link and follow me on Instagram.

About The Author

Hi, my name is Ulrike and I love to travel. I've been raised surrounded by books, travel guides, travel memoirs and TV shows about travelling. I have childhood memories of days spent by the beach, randomly learning bits of Norwegian, gutting a fish and of dancing traditional dances on Greek islands. But things don't always go as planned and the times where you ended up far from where you started or far from where you ever intended to be, usually make for the best stories. Travel teaches us to let go of plans and expectations and to just go with whatever life has in store for us. I want to share my stories with you, to give you the courage to live your own adventures. #ShareYourJourney
