Books set in… the United Kingdom

Books are a great way to get to know a country and to get deeper into what makes its people tick than a travel guide. In the series “Books set in…”, I put together lists of books that help you find a novel that fits your next trip.

The books on this list span across several centuries and are set right across the UK. As it happens, I have a lot more books listed that are set in London… But I am constantly reading and working on extending the list all the time. I will also constantly add links to reviews I write on all of these books. So if you’re unsure about any of the books, check back later and I may have added a review on the book you’re looking for.

Also, if you’ve read any books that are set in the UK, then please leave them down in the comments and I will add them to the list. The goal is to have this big community to people recommending books to each other.
